Eye 45
Unforgettable cleans. Unfiltered grit. The first RL design takes the heart of the JTM45 towards a voice of its own.

Where it all began
British roots.
The RL signature.
Built in 2007, the Blue Eye 45 is the first RL design: a passion for music meeting the drive to shape a personal sound.
The starting point was the original Marshall JTM45. During development, an added master volume and circuit revisions turned that inspiration into an amplifier with its own character: true to the classic spirit, yet ready to explore rougher territory.
Its name comes from the KT66 power valves. As the head comes out of standby and into operation, the valves take on a striking blue glow — a detail that became its signature.

Super classic tone
Captivating cleans.
Cascaded grit.
From sparkling cleans to warm brown tones, all the way to raw distortion with unmistakable ’60s and ’70s attitude.
The four inputs offer High and Low gain sensitivity for the two distinct voices. In the original configuration, the input stages operate in parallel. A dedicated switch allows them to be cascaded: the first stage feeds the second, radically changing the character of the overdrive.
The result is a more distorted, direct and gritty sound. The added master volume provides control over the overall level: a classic soul with an extra gear when you need it.
